Published in August of 2011, Marvel’s Ultimate Fallout #4 would introduce readers to Miles Morales, toted as the “new” Spider-Man, a 13-year-old biracial kid with a Black father and a Puerto Rican mother. Created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli, Miles initially debuted to mixed reviews. However, after the unequivocal success of 2018’s animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which featured Miles as its main character, Marvel’s “new” Spider-Man’s popularity shot to astronomical heights, a fact which was further solidified when the character got his own videogame in November of 2020. It became clear that Miles was here to stay, and that fans were thrilled about it.
As a result of this, Miles’ first appearance comic has also shot up in value, with a 9.8 regular cover selling for a reported $3,000 this year, which is a pretty penny for a comic that’s only just over ten years old.
Even more shocking, however, was the sale of Ultimate Fallout #4’s 1 in 25 variant cover by Marko Djurdjevic, a 9.8 of which recently sold on Frankie’s WhatNot auction for a monumental $30,000!

Simply make a purchase (or purchases) from frankiescomics.com between the dates of Friday, April 15th, 2022, and Tuesday, May 31st, 2022, and each dollar that you spend gains you an entry in the drawing for the comic.
